Technology Department

Welcome to the Colonial Beach Public Schools Technology Department. Our goal is to provide reliable technology services that support teaching, learning, communication, and innovation throughout the division.

Technology plays an important role in preparing students for success both inside and outside the classroom. We work to ensure that students and staff have access to the tools, resources, and support they need to create, collaborate, communicate, and learn in a safe and engaging digital environment.

Our department is responsible for:

• Maintaining the division's network infrastructure, devices, and technology systems.
• Supporting students, teachers, and staff with technology needs and troubleshooting.
• Managing the division's one-to-one iPad program, with high school students taking devices home and elementary students using devices during the school day.
• Providing professional learning and coaching to help educators integrate technology into meaningful classroom instruction.
• Evaluating and implementing new technologies that enhance learning while protecting student privacy and security.
• Promoting responsible digital citizenship and the safe, ethical use of technology.
